About the Role:
The Civil Engineer at Silverberg Investments Pty Ltd will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, preparing detailed engineering plans, overseeing project timelines, and collaborating with contractors, architects, and stakeholders.The role also involves analyzing technical reports, managing budgets, and ensuring projects meet safety and environmental standards. With a strong focus on innovation and quality, the Civil Engineer will contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure developments that align with the company's vision and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing construction techniques, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring adherence to quality standards while preparing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Coordinating on-site workforce, managing the procurement and delivery of construction materials, equipment, and machinery, and formulating detailed schedules for seamless execution of site operations.
- Collecting and analysing soil and rock samples at varying depths to assess their strength, compressibility, and load-bearing capacity, ensuring structural stability and compliance with safety regulations.
- Reviewing architectural and engineering plans to estimate overall project costs, preparing comprehensive budget reports, and implementing cost-control strategies.
- Tracking design modifications, evaluating their cost implications, and negotiating variations while ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Examining structural frameworks to determine their performance under static and dynamic forces.
- Designing structural components to maintain integrity and prevent failure due to excessive bending, twisting, vibration, or collapse.
- Forecasting future transportation demands by analysing population growth and evolving infrastructure needs.
- Planning and designing the physical aspects of transport systems, including roads, rail networks, urban transit, aviation infrastructure, and supply chain logistics, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' relevant experience
- The ability to manage multiple projects and goals at the same time, whilst working autonomously
- Experience working closely with builders and architects (essential)
- Good construction and building knowledge
- Knowledge of, and experience designing to, relevant civil codes and standards
- Competent IT skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
