• Processing weekly and monthly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handling all payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
• Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
• Performing reconciliations of payroll accounts.
• Assisting with end-of-year payroll tasks, including tax calculations and reporting.
• Working closely with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Supporting the HR team with payroll-related tasks as needed.
• Contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

• Proven experience in a similar payroll role within the Business Services industry.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and awards.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in payroll software systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• An hourly rate of approximately AUD $45-$55 per hour depending on experience.
