Group Accountant

Sprout Oceania is seeking a full-time Group Accountant to lead and manage consolidation and smooth running of our group financial operations for its various related entities. An ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker to oversee multiple businesses with the group and be able to display leadership and vision to create success.

The applicant should possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, or higher qualification, and have at least 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate, high-pressure environment. The position is based in Sydney Region with a renumeration of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.

• Prepare company and its related entities’ financial statement according to the accounting standard for the management
• Prepare any special purpose financial report on ad-hoc basis instructed by the management
• Summarise and advise on the financial performance of the company and its related entities by applying various financial analysis methods such cash-flow analysis, financial ratio analysis, ageing report etc.
• Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels and control procedures
• Review and identify inefficiencies and risks of company and its related entities’ accounting procedures and policies, advise, recommend, and implement possible actions to mitigate or eliminate these inefficiencies and risks
• Identify and investigate any abnormal financial transactions and report to the management immediately if there is possible fraud or other suspicious financial conduct.
• Exam and analyse various tax issues of the company and its related entities and provide appropriate taxation advice to the management.
• Conduct company and its related entities inventory management audit
• Inspect cost performance and support the implementation of benchmarking and quality improvement
• Maintain management’s confidence by protecting financial data integrity and confidentiality
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest accounting standard and practice, taxation and other relevant government regulations.
