Our client, Turnkey Comms, has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Located in Champion Lakes, Western Australia, they pride themselves on their deep industry knowledge and their commitment to delivering fibre-ready builds with a customer-first approach.

The company’s mission is to simplify the process for Builders, Developers, and homeowners by managing everything from initial drawings and applications to final delivery, with transparency and care at every stage.

They are currently seeking a Telecommunications Field Engineer to join their growing team and support their mission of delivering reliable, future-ready connectivity solutions across residential and commercial projects. The role will develop, implement, and oversee advanced telecommunications networks and related systems; offer expert technical guidance and information; and identify intricate issues and take proactive steps to resolve them.

The annual salary for this role is $80,000 to $90,000.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, servicing, and diagnosing faults in microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other radio frequency and electromagnetic communication systems.
  • Integrating and configuring telecommunications systems with software, hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and databases to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Documenting and maintaining records of inventory, equipment, parts, locations, and operational status, while ensuring compliance with communication standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing expert technical support and overseeing the performance of complex telecommunications infrastructure and associated devices.
  • Strategically planning and managing the development of customer access networks and related telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with Suppliers, Contractors, and Service Providers to oversee contract compliance, performance benchmarks, and service delivery standards.
  • Delivering end-to-end operational support, including design, optimisation, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair of network issues and system defects.
  • Conducting site surveys and technical assessments to determine network capacity, feasibility, and infrastructure requirements for new projects.
  • Implementing cybersecurity measures to safeguard network integrity, data transmission, and system access from vulnerabilities and breaches.
  • Training end-users and technical staff on system functionality, upgrades, and maintenance procedures to ensure proper operation and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication.
  • Should have more than one (1) year of experience in a similar setting.
