Our client, a leading and highly respected financial services organisation, is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join their dynamic compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to play a key advisory role, ensuring the organisation continues to meet its regulatory obligations in a rapidly evolving environment.
The Role
As the Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for delivering expert compliance advice across business units, contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of the compliance framework, and engaging with key stakeholders to support a strong culture of compliance.You will work closely with senior management and regulatory bodies to ensure the firm meets its obligations under applicable laws and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and practical compliance advice to business units across the organisation.
- Monitor, interpret and communicate regulatory changes and developments relevant to the business.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of compliance policies, frameworks, and programs.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and thematic reviews.
- Engage with regulators and assist in regulatory reporting and response management.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Risk, Legal, and Audit to ensure integrated compliance support.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across the business.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and governance committees on compliance matters.
- Proven experience in a compliance advisory or regulatory compliance role within financial services.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., ASIC, APRA, privacy laws).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide clear, actionable advice.
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline are preferred.
