Job Description
The Senior Financial and Management Accountant will-- Lead month-end processes, including journals, accruals, investments, billing, payables, and reconciliations.
- Oversee year-end activities, audits, and preparation of annual financial statements and ACNC lodgements.
- Build strong relationships with investment fund managers and grant program managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and acquittals.
- Provide accurate financial data to the Manager Financial Reporting and ensure the general ledger's accuracy for all entities.
- Collaborate with finance partners to deliver timely and reliable information for decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management reports and assist with accurate and timely data reporting.
- Assist in budget preparation and work with stakeholders for accurate data collection.
- Ensure consistent and effective financial processes across the business.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for enhanced finance knowledge.
The Successful Applicant
The Senior Financial and Management Accountant will be-- CA / CPA qualified
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience in preparation of annual statutory financial statements
- Detailed knowledge of accounting
- Demonstrated technical excellence
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced people skills in business partnering
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience across NFP would be desirable
