The Role:
We are on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our Accounting Division in Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of BlueRock On Demand, this role is pivotal in establishing and managing our Project Management Office (PMO).As the Project Manager, you will take the lead on all accounting-related projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Development of PMO: Set up and manage the Project Management Office, implementing project standards and best practices.
- Oversee Projects: Coordinate and lead all projects within the accounting division, driving them to successful completion.
- Build Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
- Manage Resources: Ensure optimal resource allocation to meet project goals and timelines.
- Mitigate Risks: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor Performance: Implement and track project performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep comprehensive project documentation and prepare progress reports for the Managing Director.
Requirements
What Weβre Looking For:
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in related field. PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of project management experience, ideally within a professional services firm. Experience in establishing and managing a PMO is a strong plus.
- Skills:
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail.
