About the Role

Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, this role will serve as a key advisor on all people-related matters within the Support Office. Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of areas, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, talent and succession planning, training and development, performance management, workplace health and safety, as well as supporting various HR projects and initiatives.

Additionally, this role will provide guidance and coaching to ensure best practices across all aspects of people management.

Duties

Some of the responsibilities will involve
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Drive and support major projects and initiatives within retail and the broader HR team.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand their objectives and deliver HR strategies that align with overall business goals.
  • Provide data-driven insights and analytics to support organizational change, guiding decision-making and assessing impact.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement, track, and refine change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment process within the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and recommend sourcing strategies to attract top talent aligned with the brand and business needs.
  • Equip frontline managers with recruitment and selection skills through training and ongoing support, helping to alleviate pressure on the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Analyse training needs and collaborate with the Head of HR/People to design and develop tailored training materials that align with the brand's requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments.
  • Lead workplace investigations and provide informed recommendations to the Head of HR/People and relevant portfolio groups.
  • Offer coaching and support to the HR/People team on more complex employee relations issues.
Skills & Experience
  • Over 5 years of HR experience, preferably within the retail or fast-paced customer-focused industries
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data in shaping HR strategies and making informed decisions
  • In-depth knowledge of current employment laws, including Awards and Agreements
  • Strong relationship-building skills
