About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café and Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house and kitchen teams. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a customer-first mindset, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for hospitality.

Minimum Requirements: AQF Certificate IV in the relevant field and 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
Key Responsibilities: Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
Take reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders.
Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
Ensure customer satisfaction for all dine-in customers and manage bookings.
Lead and mentor both front-of-house and kitchen staff, designing and implementing training programs to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to plan and curate seasonal and diverse menus, ensuring they meet customer preferences and industry trends.
Manage daily café and restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory oversight, and strict adherence to health and safety regulations, while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Prepare and oversee budgetary processes and implement cost-control strategies to optimize profitability, including overseeing cash handling and financial reporting.
Implement and uphold high customer service standards, address, and resolve customer issues swiftly, and gather feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
Oversee inventory management, place orders, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients and cost-effective purchasing, while reducing waste through efficient stock tracking.
Ensure that all food and beverage items meet quality standards, promptly addressing any issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Enforce health and safety standards in compliance with local regulations, providing staff training on food safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
Manage customer complaints and staff conflicts effectively, training team members in conflict resolution to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Maintain open communication with staff, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations, and prepare detailed reports on operational performance and financial status for the business owner.
Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels, and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members.
