Airtree is looking for a Head of Fund Finance to join the team!

About the role:

The Head of Fund Finance role is critical in managing the financial operations of our funds, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. You will report directly to Helen Norton, Partner of Finance and Operations.

The core of the role is the ownership of the finance function for our 7 funds (and growing!), whilst mentoring and developing a high performance fund finance team. Coverage of the role will include fund accounting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis.

This is a full time, permanent role.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

Your responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Airtree fund financials, compliance and reporting functions
  • Manage the reporting requirements, regulatory compliance and corporate secretarial functions of the funds
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to elevate our systems and processes, as well as investigate new tools and platforms
  • Lead and develop a high performance Fund Finance team
  • Cashflow forecasting for all funds
  • Managing the year end audit process

Requirements

In terms of your background, it’s likely you’ll have 10+ years’ experience and have:

  • Strong accounting and finance skills (CPA or CA or equivalent qualifications).
  • Experience within a funds management environment, Private Equity or Venture Capital is essential
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, partnership accounting, and venture capital operations
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience at creating, improving, monitoring and implementing new processes and continuous improvement projects
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
