General Accountant

Salary: Full Time $70,000.00 - $75,000.00

National Networks Plus (associated entity of Sir Moses Montefiore Jewish Home) is seeking a General Accountant.

• Experience in Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Awards, with a good understanding and interpretation of works limitations and pay guide.
• Proven over 2 years’ experience as a Financial Controller, Financial Analyst, or Financial Accountant
• Extensive experience in business intelligence platforms like Power Bi
• Master graduation in Professional Accounting
• Extensive experience of the following software:

• Knowledge of different funding streams- Consumer Directed Care, NDIS government funding.

As well as support the General Manager from Montefiore Help at Home with Financial Support.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reviewing and preparing financial reports and preparing financial statements for presentation to Senior Accountant and internal and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory authorities.
• Month-end financial reporting including KPI reporting, General Ledger and Balance Sheet Reconciliations and production of the P&L statements.
• Creating and maintaining budgets, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and profitability while considering fluctuations in demand for labour hire employees within the aged care, disability, and community and home care sector.
• Supporting the Montefiore Help at Home business with NDIS, HCP Funding through government portals as a service provider whilst also adhering to the conditions of the Enterprise Agreement for payrolling staff.
• Responsible for analysing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances with associated corrective actions, communicating financial results to management and advising on recommendations or changes to budgetary and accounting policies and standards.
• Payroll management, including analysis and reporting, for more than 500 staff members for both NNP and Montefiore Help at Home
• Understanding the award interpretations for all Industry Awards & Enterprise Agreements.
• Managing compliance with taxation obligations and collaborating with external audit compliance reviews.

• Integrate new technologies for more advanced financial analytics
• Using these systems to identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance financial efficiency in labour hire operations tailored to the recruitment agency’s needs.
• Financial data modelling including extracting and incorporating complex financial data sets from allocation, payroll, and applicant tracking systems
• Refine visual dashboards for accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting, and collaborating with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain ongoing financial metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions, including financial performance management systems to support best practice.
• Developing processes to improve financial accounting systems and procedures using advanced computer skills and high knowledge in MS Office, such as sophisticated Excel formulas, dynamic graphs, macros, and Power Query (Get & Transform Data) aggregating it with a strong know-how in accounting software and databases.
