Salary: $74,000 – $78,000 (commensurate with experience)
Atrium Sydney Pty Ltd is a vibrant eatery located in the heart of Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport. Renowned for its iconic coffee, fresh bakery goods, and a diverse menu featuring modern Australian and Italian cuisine, Atrium Sydney has been operating for over two years.Although a relatively new addition, it forms part of our well-established hospitality group, which has been successfully operating in the industry for over a decade.
As part of our continued business growth and expansion, we are now looking for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.
Responsibilities:We are seeking a cook who can:
- Thoroughly inspect food items to ensure quality and freshness
- Prepare, season, and cook food in line with weekly menu updates
- Monitor and regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment
- Prepare and cook meals and baked goods in a commercial kitchen setting
- Apply appropriate seasoning to a variety of cuisines during all cooking stages
- Portion and plate food attractively with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and gravies
- Store food safely in accordance with temperature control guidelines
- Prepare meals to accommodate dietary requirements while preventing cross-contamination
- Assist with planning menus and estimating food quantities as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen apprentices or junior staff when required
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Relevant qualifications including:
o Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to work full-time in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must be available to work from our commercial kitchen located at Sydney Airport
