Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Position Overview:
True Protein is seeking a skilled Mechanical Production Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining mechanical production systems and components to ensure efficient production processes.
You will work closely with our Engineers, Maintenance Coordinator and production staff to uphold quality standards and improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design of mechanical equipment in the plant.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults, such as gearboxes, belts, motors, and conveyors.
- Provide service and supervise maintenance to the production machinery, document faults and service logs.
- Prepare the SOP documentation for the current and future equipment.
- Carry our computation, prepare diagrams and analyse data regarding the mechanical equipment used.
- Assist with the assembly, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of production machinery according to specifications.
- Provide technical assistance and directions to solve breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Assist with the material cost for repairs, tools and components.
- Train the production staff to use the machinery efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or repair.
- Ability to read engineer drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for this job.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
