Dental Assistant
The role of Dental Assistant will work as part of the dental team and provide high standard of assistance as needed in the treatment of patients by Oral Health Service staff and provide efficient and appropriate services.
About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology and surgery procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant equipment, instruments, materials, medicaments, and procedures including safety procedures, Material Safety Data Sheets and Workplace Health and Safety regulations relating to the dental facility
- Working knowledge of the various acts, regulations and all relevant Standards that relate to dentistry
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team
- Ability to effectively co-ordinate procedures related to the oral health environment
- High level interpersonal skills, organisational skills and communication skills
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
