About Our Client
Our client has reached out to Michael Page to assist with the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant in the funds management & property space. The role will play a pivitol part in contributing to the team's success by managing financial tasks and promoting sound financial decision-making.The role commences immediately as a 6-month contract with a view of extension or potentially permanency.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of Financial statements for multiple entities
- Preparation of tax returns (BAS, GST, FBT)
- Ensure compliance with accounting laws and regulations (Div 7a)
- Provide insights for financial decision-making
- Collaborate with the wider Accounting & Finance team
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ongoing system and process improvements
- Ad hoc analysis
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial/Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA/CPA Qualified (ideally commenced their career within an Accounting firm)
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Sound knowledge of accounting laws and regulations
- Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills
- Proven experience in the transport & distribution industry
