Wedderburn is a very well-established company and a leading supplier and service provider of weighing equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand.
They are seeking a Service Technician in Australia with a mix of mechanical, computer and electronic skills coupled with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
This is a busy role with a variety of tasks and will suit a highly motivated individual with a positive outlook and a can-do attitude.
The role requires specific skills in mechanical and electronic trouble shooting, repairing and servicing Retail/Industrial weighing and food processing equipment. It's a field-based role, where you will be required to visit customer sites and provide excellent service.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:- Repair and maintain equipment in the field and workshop
- Commissioning and installing of equipment
- Set up of new equipment
- Meeting required Service Level Agreements
- Provide after-hours break-down service when rostered
- Follow Quality Procedures
- Take care of allocated company vehicle and assets
- Comply with all Work Health and Safety and Environmental processes related to the Service Department
- Follow all Safe Work Method Procedures and Work Instructions, including the use of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- A minimum of 2 years mechanical/electronic experience in the scale trade is required.
- Current drivers licence.
- The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol screening.
- A willingness to work on a roster for after-hour breakdowns.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
- Professionally presented with an outgoing & friendly personality.
- Must be willing to learn & develop product knowledge.
Base salary of $73,200 - $75,000 + super
