As a Merchandise Planner at Hype DC, you will play a crucial role in inventory management, analysis of key sales trends and be responsible for driving sales performance. You will analyse sales trends, manage inventory levels, and collaborate closely with our buying, retail and marketing teams to ensure alignment with our brand strategy.
Your insights and planning expertise will directly influence our merchandising decisions and overall business success.
Key Responsibilities will include the following:
- Sales Analysis: Monitor sales trends and product performance to inform planning and forecasting decisions.
- Inventory Management: Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize markdowns.
- Forecasting: Utilize historical data and market insights to generate accurate sales forecasts and plan inventory replenishment.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and other key metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with buying, marketing, and retail operations teams to ensure seamless execution of the brand strategy.
To be successful you will ideally have:
- Demonstrated 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning or inventory management, preferably in retail or fashion.
- Bachelors Degree or relevant qualification in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with planning software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for footwear and streetwear culture.
