Legal Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, full-time, Legal Officer to join our dynamic practice. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to work within a team, develop and foster relationships with colleagues, clients and network partners, be a self starter, able to prioritise work effectively and competently manage their own files.
The role will deal with a wide range of types of work including- Drafting Contract for Sale & Purchase Agreements
- Searching relevant certificates in relation to sale/purchase of property
- Arranging the documents to be stamped by the stamping agent
- Liaising with the real estate agents with regards to sale and purchase of property
- Liaising with the banks with regards to existing loan on the property
- Preparation of the settlement balance sheet on Pexa with appropriate figures
- Attending to file relevant forms & documents via Pexa to transfer property to the new owner
- Liaising with NSW Land Registry to issue of New Certificate of Title upon removal of mortgage
- Customer Care
The successful candidate will have a desire to seek out and win new work from existing and new clients. You must be able to work autonomously. You will need to have a minimum of Bachelor level degree in law and at least 2 years of relevant legal work experience.
Experience and/or an interest in family law would be viewed favourably but not essential.The role offers genuine opportunities for career progression and great exposure to all aspects of a general legal practice.
The salary for the role is between $71000 and $80 000 and will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
