As our new Technical Lead (Water Resources/Flooding), you’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. Your role will include

Providing leadership in growing capability within SA & Victoria Water Resources team by managing, motivating, coordinating and mentoring staff
Ability to guide emerging professionals and work collaboratively at both an internal and external client-facing level
Managing opportunities through the entire life cycle (lead, proposal, delivery, and close out) in accordance with the Aurecon methodology
Work collaboratively with Aurecon teams and act as a trusted partner for our clients on multiple projects

Support and delivery of high-quality technical outputs to provide a quality product that meets client expectations

What are we looking for from you?

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

As well as experience in a Technical Lead (Water Resources/Flooding), role. Specifically

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
Proven years of relevant flooding industry experience, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, ideally within a multi-disciplinary consulting environment
Have an interest in technological advances, knowledge sharing and applying innovation
Chartered status (e.g. CPEng, RPEV) is highly desirable, or at least working towards achieving this in the short term
Strong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019
Water balance modelling and WSUD skills would be looked favourably upon
Demonstrated experience in delivering water resource and design packages using TUFLOW and RORB required

Project management experience would be favourable
