We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Painter to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of painting projects, including commercial properties, new builds, and renovations. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in all aspects of painting, a strong eye for detail, and a dedication to high-quality finishes.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and repairing cracks to ensure a smooth application.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring a clean and professional result.
- Mix and match paint colours and finishes as per client requirements and project specifications.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders and use protective coverings to safeguard furnishings and flooring during painting work.
- Perform minor surface repairs to wood, plaster, and other materials prior to painting.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment and ensure cleanliness of work areas.
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct final inspections of completed work to identify and correct any deficiencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications
- A minimum of one years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of painting tools, materials, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on various job sites.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $70,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
