We are hiring for 3 x enthusiastic Cooks to complement our kitchen teams in our flagship location in Barangaroo NSW and a newly acquired function centre in Richmond NSW. We offer an excellent workplace with opportunities for growth and development.Both roles are full-time with a remuneration of $74,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation depending on skills and attributes of the candidate.
Main tasks and duties involve:- Prepare menu food items in a consistent, desired format
- Cook signature mains, entrée, and side items as well as diet specific orders
- Select and plan recipes with the Chef to create new menu combinations.
- Estimate food consumption and requisitions for lunches, dinners and functions.
- Supervise and train kitchen juniors in cooking, plating and presentation.
- Oversee sanitation, and food & hygiene compliance by the kitchen staff.
- Recommend changes to the menu and daily specials to the management.
- Coordinate and participate with other sections on compliance and wastage.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
- Circulate food items to maximise their usage and lifespan.
You should ideally have a Certificate IV in Cookery, or at least 3 years of proven industry experience. At least 1 year of experience will be highly regarded. You should demonstrate sound culinary knowledge, leadership skills and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
