The Role
Full-timeAnnual salary: $70,000 - $80,000
As a full-time Diploma-qualified Educator, you will play a key role in supporting children's development and wellbeing through engaging programs that reflect their interests and developmental needs and learning through nature and play. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators, contribute to continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with designing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)Provide quality care that supports the physical and emotional development of children
Preparing learning activities with the best interests of all children at the heart
Engage children in nature-based play, promoting curiosity, exploration, and connection to the environment
Observe, assess, and document children's development and learning progress
Develop positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and centre policies
Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
Collaborate and supervise team members, and participate in ongoing professional development
Uphold the Little Nippers' philosophy, values, and Code of Ethics at all times
About You (Skills and qualifications)
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent, recognised in Australia)Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations
Ability to supervise junior staff
Passionate about early childhood education and committed to best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certifications
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a childcare centre or long day care
A team player with a warm, caring, and flexible approach
