Context:
The opportunity:As the Senior Signalling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing signalling design engineering projects. Your role will involve providing expert technical advice, overseeing project management, and offering strategic guidance to drive operational excellence and ensure the safety and reliability of rail networks.
The role is based at our Brisbane CBD location, and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance on complex signalling engineering projects.
- Lead and manage signalling projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in signalling projects and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

- Must Have: L2/L3 QR Competency and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status are mandatory for this role.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in railway signalling design engineering and maintenance of signalling systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of signalling principles, systems, and technologies, including ETCS, CBTC, interlocking systems, and train control systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex signalling design projects from conception to completion.
