We have an opportunity for Training and Documentation Assistant - AMO to join our team in West Perth, WA either remotely or in office. The successful candidate will be assisting the Maintenance Manager (Part 145) and Safety and Quality Manager in providing frontline engineering staff with AMO training support.

This includes developing, distributing, and improving technical training materials to ensure compliance and support to maintenance activities

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Training and Documentation Assistant - AMO
  • Work with AMO management to support the development and implementation of training materials
  • Collaborate with technical admin staff to ensure training syllabi development or implementation are aligned with AMO technical course requirements
  • Ensure records and registration of training in the system
  • Familiarise with the below general AMO procedures and documentation to fully support with training implementations
  • AMO Category A Authorisation
  • Specific Task Training
  • B Level Exclusion Removal
  • Core Technical Skills (e.g. troubleshooting, software updates, hoist hook removal/installation)
  • Apprentice Training Program
  • Human Factors and Human Performance Limitations
  • Support the delivery of technical training across the AMO workforce, in coordination with the AMO Technical Supervisor.
  • Manage training records and certificates to support maintenance authorisation and competence assessments.
  • Liaise with third-party training providers to ensure training quality and compliance.
  • Assist with coordinating training for apprentices and technical staff.
  • Organise type-specific aircraft training for Engineers

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in Training Development systems
  • Experience or knowledge about AMO policies, practices, and relevant legislation will be seen as advantage
  • Experience in Training and Records Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access)
  • Analytical thinker with strong details orientation
  • Ability to learn technical, detailed procedures as required for this function
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • works Independently with little supervision
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and work with a range of relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving and commitment to continuous improvement
