We are expanding the team at The Hardware Club and we are now ready to hire a senior chef to help us improve upon what we have built in the last few of years.

We have renovated The Hardware Club in November 2019 and had a mission of creating a welcoming, fun, hospitable place for our guests to enjoy. We wanted to have a space where we could lean on our Italian heritage while creating food that was contemporary, tasty and plentyful

We have managed to create our own little community in the heart of the cbd, a solid lunch trade that allowed us to build a reasonable following. We have made a ton of new friends in both the industry and media, landed on The Good Food Guide every year since opening and we are now in a position to really improve the quality of our food and service to grat standards

The position is for someone who enjoys cooking hands on, we have a small team of 5-6 chefs and 2 kitchen hands that have all been working together for quite a while. The right cultural fit is imperative as we have achieved a great balance between all the people working here, an achievement we hold at the same level as the quality of our food & service

Right candindate is someone who loves working in a smaller team, with a menu that can change quite often and understands the resposabilities a Senior Chef should have in a small team
We have a simple and effective system and the right candidate will have the opportunity to decide his or her own rioster once settled in, flexibility is never been an issue here

We are open Monday to Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday just dinner. Full timers have been doing between 5 and 6 shifts over 5 days, we could arrange 4 days working weeks if the Sous Chef is capable of managing rostering and ordering appropriately

We are one step away from having a fully funcitonal team of trained chef, all we need now is someone with great passion for tasty fresh fun food, a good control of a busy service in a small kitchen and just an all round positive attitude towards the Hospitality Business
