Qualified Tradesperson Painter

• Permanent full-time position
• 38 hours per week
• Salary range from $75,0000 - $80,000 per year plus superannuation
• Servicing Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast

We are looking for a self- motivated, English speaking, articulate person to fill the role of Painter within our company.

• Responsible for painting of interior and exterior commercial/residential sites as directed by the project supervisor;
• Responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, including filling holes, paint stripping; sanding, repairing woodwork, removing old paint or wallpaper, sealings surfaces;
• Inspecting surfaces to be painted;
• Responsible for cleaning equipment;
• Prepare and apply paint, using brushes, rollers or spray guns to apply the paint to the surface;
• Apply undercoats, oil based, gloss enamel, varnish or stain, low sheen acrylic to surfaces using brushes, rollers and spraying;
• Responsible for mixing paint and colour matching for the project;
• Estimating paint materials for projects;
• Responsible to ensure that work meets standards and health and safety requirements are met at each jobsite;

The successful applicant will need to be a qualified tradesperson painter and hold a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, also including ABN, white card, drivers’ licence, EWP licence and own transport. Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a professional painter.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working on a number of painting projects simultaneously, showing a commitment to ongoing education and self-improvement either within the painting trade or other areas.
