Vehicle Painter

We are currently looking to recruit multiple experienced and qualified Vehicle Painter to join our teams throughout Queensland.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Removing rough spots on vehicle panels
• Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
• Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
• Color matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
• Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats
• Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles
• Removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork
• Painting signs and artwork on vehicles
• Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals

• Process-oriented logical thinker
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Strong attention to detail
• Bring a positive attitude to work.
• Meeting Body & Paint standards.
• Maintain Quality standards and minimize re-work.
• Finish all jobs in a timely manner.

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing

• At least 3 years

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
