Safety Training Coordinator
About the role
The role of the Safety and Training Coordinator is to harmonise Workplace Health and Safety, Training and Assessment for the Wire Mill including preparation and updating of site documentation, training records and presentation packages.
Duties will include:
- Use existing systems to manage the training requirements and associated activities
- Ensuring that the planning and execution of assessments is done in conjunction and agreement with key stakeholders including departmental supervision and management
- Recording assessment outcomes in the appropriate databases promptly and accurately
- Developing training materials/packages that are appropriate for the audience and training needs
- Providing guidance and facilitating and leading risk assessments, implementation of recommendations, safety communications and supporting supervisors with incident investigations
- Ensuring the safety of critical systems and procedures are complied with and periodically reviewed for effectiveness
- Managing relationships and collaborating with equivalent colleagues at other sites
- Reviewing and updating documentation and administering data to varied sources.
You are passionate about driving outcomes and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
In order to succeed in this role you will need:
- Cert 4 in Training and Assessing is essential
- Experience in heavy industry is ideal
- Excellent organisation, planning and coordination skill
- Strong computer skills, ie Microsoft word processing skills, excel, word, powerpoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate with all levels of the business
- Ability to operate under pressure and manage competing priorities
Desirable:
- Cert 4 in Work, Health and Safety will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in manufacturing/operations advantageous for a complete understanding of operational processes
- SAP and Cority experience or equivalent system knowledge
