The opportunity:

Delaware North Australia is hiring skilled casual Commis Chefs to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a Commis Chef, you'll be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that make a lasting impression. Join our team and embark on an exciting culinary journey, where your skills will flourish in our vibrant kitchen atmosphere.

Must be flexible, shifts available across Monday to Sunday.

What you will do?:

  • Prepare a variety of dishes in a high-volume production setting
  • Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
  • Execute food preparation tasks with a focus on presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
  • Conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance

More about you:

  • Previous Commis Chef experience
  • Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery
  • Solid background in kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labour costs
  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster
