You’ll report directly to an experienced Finance Manager who prioritises mentoring and technical development. What You’ll Do:
- Deliver variance analysis and commentary on actual vs budgeted performance.
- Conduct detailed costing analysis, including break-even assessments and pricing models.
- Provide financial insights into margins and pricing to support contract negotiations.
- Prepare end-of-month (EOM) reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and reconciliations.
- Develop EOM workbooks and ensure compliance with internal reporting standards.
- Support process improvements and the implementation of data-driven financial models.
Who You Are:
An accountant with 3-5 years experience and a bachelor degree that is relevant. You may be in public practice and keen to learn more about the commercial responsibilities of a management accountant. Or you're a commercially trained financial accountant ready for the next step into commercial financial planning and analysis!
- Experienced:5-6 years in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or mid-tier/public accounting environments.
- Technically Proficient: Intermediate Excel skills are essential, with Power BI knowledge viewed favourably.
- Analytical Thinker: Strong financial modelling and problem-solving abilities.
- ERP Knowledgeable: Familiarity with MYOB EXO or similar ERP systems.
- Collaborative and Proactive: A team player with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
