Responsibilities:
Position Purpose:
As a Trade Execution Assistant on our derivatives brokerage desk, you will play a vital role in supporting trading operations and client service delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic trading environment, helping to execute and process trades across various derivative products while supporting broader market-making and client servicing activities.
Primary duties will include:
Trade Execution & Processing- Execute trades across multiple derivative products including futures, options, and OTC derivatives
- Process and verify trade confirmations ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all product types
- Coordinate with middle and back office teams on trade settlement and position reconciliation
- Monitor trading positions and provide regular updates to clients
- Prepare and distribute daily market reports and trading summaries
- Monitor and communicate market movements, news, and relevant trading opportunities to clients
- Support the development and implementation of tailored risk management strategies
- Assist in maintaining and expanding client relationships across different market segments
- Help onboard new clients and manage documentation requirements
- Collect, analyze, and present market data to support trading decisions
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across different derivative products and asset classes
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and trading activities
- Support senior brokers in preparing client presentations and market analysis
- Monitor market trends and help identify new trading opportunities
Qualifications:
To land this role you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in financial markets, preferably in derivatives trading or operations
- Strong understanding of futures, options, and OTC derivative products
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
