ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the IT Trade Desk Support Analyst, you will support customers (banks, brokers, hedge funds) who are using the organizations trading applications & products.

You'll wear 'multiple hats' ranging from technical support to product implementation, upgrades, migrations, and client onboarding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support, investigation, triage, troubleshooting, and resolution to customers using the firm's trading applications.
  • Analyze FIX messages, logs, and sources to determine root cause analysis.
  • Implement Plan, support and deploy implementations of these trading platforms into client environments.
  • Support clients via phone, email and video.
  • Work hours are 10am-6pm / 8am-4pm (daylight savings / non-daylight savings time) - Monday to Friday.
  • Project involvement including:

o Product implementation into client environment- plan, support deploy

o Manage application upgrades & migrations

o Client onboarding activities

o Liquidity integrations with customers.

REQUIRED BACKGROUND / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for a Technical Support Analyst with excellent IT troubleshooting & investigation skills inside the financial trading industry.

Ideal for someone with an interest in learning and building an IT career within financial trading (FX, Derivatives, CFD's, Crypto, Equities etc).

Well-suited to someone who can wear 'multiple hats' and is seeking non-conventional working hours with flexibility (incl some WFH).

The following is required:

  • Proven experience providing technical IT Support to customer in the financial services industry - in particular trade investigations experience.
  • Excellent triage, investigation and troubleshooting of application, Windows OS, and networking issues.
  • Demonstrate competent financial markets / financial trading knowledge (trade executions, buy/sell orders, markup etc).
  • FIX messaging knowledge/experience is preferred.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • MetaTrader experience 4/5 is beneficial.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills - verbal & written.
  • Demonstrate willingness & ability to research, absorb and learn new ideas/concepts.
This is a full time permanent role located North of the Sydney CBD (hybrid working) and is offering $90,000 - $130,000 (plus super).
