ICT Business Analyst

About the Role

As an ICT Business Analyst, you will play a dual role as both a business consultant and a technical expert, supporting process optimization and directly contributing to program development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with users to formulate and document business requirements in alignment with organizational goals.
• Act as a central point of reference, providing technical and functional guidance throughout system development and implementation.

• Investigate and analyze business processes, procedures, and work practices to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend and implement best practices, optimized workflows, and system functionality to support operational and compliance goals.
• Use data and process modelling techniques to create detailed system specifications.

• Take an active role in program development, including writing, testing, and debugging software in alignment with system specifications.
• Develop applications that support key logistics functions, such as compliance automation, order tracking, and load scheduling.
• Build customized modules to enhance ERP systems and integrate them with other tools used across the business.

• Apply Agile methodologies and project management principles to plan, resource, and deliver successful projects.
• Lead the deployment of functional solutions, including creating and implementing system test plans to ensure quality and integrity.

• Develop functional and technical specifications for system developers.
• Create and maintain comprehensive user documentation and deliver training sessions for end-users.

• Collaborate with developers and external vendors to ensure software solutions meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERP systems, custom applications, and integrations.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, with hands-on programming skills.
• Proficiency in software development languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, system integration, and database management (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience in developing custom applications and integrating them with existing platforms.
• A deep understanding of Agile development methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello), and process-mapping software (e.g., Draw.io, Visio).
• Expertise in data and process modelling, as well as creating functional and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on practical solutions.
• Outstanding communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Logistics or transport industry experience is highly regarded and preferred.
• Willingness and availability to work onsite, ensuring close collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
