Agriculture Technician/Diesel Mechanic - Mary Cordoma

The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation.

• Discussing problems with operators to determining faults.
• Diagnosis of faults in engines and parts of vehicles and agricultural machinery at Mary Cordoma.
• Repair and servicing of cooling systems, fuel systems, air conditioning, emission control systems, transmissions and clutch assembles of heavy vehicles in the fleet.
• Repair of ignition, electronic management and electrical systems.
• Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune and test diesel powered heavy vehicle and processing equipment.
• Detect mechanical and electrical faults using industry standard instruments and equipment.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic components and systems of heavy equipment.
• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools associated with their trade.
• Utilise maintenance manuals and procedures to perform repairs and maintenance to required standards.
• Record and report all repairs and maintenance activities on the established documentation.

The applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Certificate III in Heavy Motor Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic Technology.
• At least two years of work experience on heavy vehicles or agriculture machinery.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues.
• Current driver’s licence.
