• Utilise your Prison and Corrective Services expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at the Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC)
• An Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service
• VPS Grade 2: $58,539 - $75,175 plus superannuation.

In the role of Justice Officer - Offender Services, some of your duties will include:

• Working within a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the holistic management of prisoners at the MRC, including supporting community transition, monitoring, and encouraging program involvement and contributing to community referral for post release issues
• Under direction, providing individual assessments and referrals which are responsive to individual prisoner needs
• Under direction, facilitating group prisoner orientation sessions and information sessions.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Experience in or understanding of working within a Correctional environment
• The ability to consider the merits of new ideas and approaches whoile being willing to develop and apply new skills.

Dependant on the role, other checks may include Vic Roads checks, drivers licence checks, medical checks, Working with Children Checks, and Declaration of Private Interests (for executive and responsible officer roles).
