We currently have an exciting new opportunity dynamic and seasoned Senior Program Manager to join our Aviation team.
Reporting to the Program Director, the role leads the development and management of capital projects within assigned programs. The role is key to ensuring capital projects are developed and implemented to support business unit plans and wider APAM strategic objectives.

The Senior Program Manager will require a suitably experienced and qualified individual who has the ability to work with the aviation business unit and wider stakeholder group to develop sound and robust business cases for initiatives, obtain business approvals and with the wider project team lead projects through the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing successful delivery of assigned projects
  • Being a key point of contact for stakeholders in assigned capital projects
  • Keeping the stakeholders up to speed with progress in delivery of assigned projects
  • Ensuring coordination of capital project activities across other business units and program groups
  • Ensuring cross collaboration across BU functions including drawing in APAM SMEs as required to support Program Delivery
  • Being a point of escalation for project team members
  • Ensuring projects are being progressed to meet Business Unit Business plan requirements in delivery of benefits
  • Playing a key role in engagement of internal and external stakeholders
  • Escalating issues/ matters for direction as needed
  • Monitoring the project teams to ensure the brief and scope are being delivered
  • Preparing Investment Committee/ Board Submissions are prepared to meet timelines
  • Ensuring capital projects are being progressed to meet respective commercial agreement target

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualified with experience in planning, development and delivery of projects in the Built Environment.
  • Capital projects experience through all stages of the project lifecycle
  • A strong understanding of relevant regulations and legislation
  • Financial acumen including development of business cases and development financial appraisals
  • Experience in developing, assessing and evaluation of options (technical and commercial
  • Ability to produce results within a given timeframe
  • High motivation and proven experience driving project outcomes
  • Stong communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
