Requirements

The Role

We’re on the lookout for a highly organised, experienced, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker Team Leader that will be responsible for leading our team of support workers, assisting with training, managing the teams rostering and ensuring staff resourcing is covered across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support rostering team members shifts promptly, accurately, and in alignment with service requests and care delivery plans.
  • Assist in onboarding new support workers.
  • Develop strategies to ensure staff are matched with compatible participants.
  • Mentor, coach, and assist support workers to provide consistent, safe, and quality care and support to the participants supported by the organisation.
  • Motivate and inspire your team by encouraging a positive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager to manage budgets and ensure support workers understand and implement care plans.
  • Understand and implement relevant policies and processes, actively contributing to their development and refinement.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders when required to ensure participants are consistently supported.

What you’ll bring:

  • A passion for people and a genuine interest in responding to the needs of others.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS industry.
  • Experience in support work and leading a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with individuals.
  • Comprehensive experience in scheduling and rostering team members with a high-level understanding of the SCHADS award.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving organisational goals and high level of customer service.

What we would like you to have:

  • Authorised to work in Victoria.
  • Valid Victorian Driver License
  • An understanding of the NDIS, disability, and community services sector
  • Certificate III Individual Support/Disability or studying towards the qualification will be highly regarded for these positions.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Have experience in coordinating a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate
