What you’ll do
Reporting into the Everyday Services Risk Lead, this role will see you working closely with both internal and external compliance teams on a wide variety of financial services matters including regulatory change, risk management, governance, assurance, incident management and compliance.You will assist in providing specialist, commercial compliance advice to enable our internal stakeholders and our business partners to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the business.
A summary of responsibilities will include, however not be limited to:
- Assisting with the implementation of policies, and procedure reviews and documentation
- Conducting compliance assurance reviews and advising on process and control improvements
- Assisting with embedding the compliance framework, including enhancing supervisory frameworks and implementing effective monitoring and testing activities
- Assist with the identification, recording, monitoring and remediation of insurance incidents, including the timely reporting of incidents to external partners
- Providing compliance advice and sign-off on marketing material and marketing campaigns
What you’ll bring
Working in an Agile environment, within the Insurance Tribe and supporting the Everyday Services Risk Lead you will be embedded in the operational excellence squad supporting both the Insurance Hub and Tribe.
Together with experience in a similar role, we are seeking the following skills and experience:
- 10+ years of experience working within the insurance industry in a risk and/or compliance role including relevant risk and compliance qualifications eg. Tier II, GICOP, Certificate in Risk and Compliance Management, Certificate in Legal studies, Certificate in Business Management
- Excellent working knowledge of Financial Services Law and General Insurance Code of Practice
- Able to quickly develop an understanding of the project, its environment and related issues
- Be a self-starter and take initiative
- Demonstrated communication skills, facilitation skills and report writing skills
