Handa Home Care Services is seeking support workers to help care for elderly clients in their own homes. This position is ideal for individuals interested in casual employment, as it involves short shifts, typically around 2 hours each. At this time, we are looking for support workers around Cranbourne, Dandenong, Keysborough, Caulfield North, Heathmont, Oakleigh, Springvale, Mulgrave, Craigieburn and Healesville.

Current rate: $37.26-$39.55 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation

As a Community Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to elderly clients living in their own homes. Your role is essential in supporting clients to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life by assisting with daily activities and offering personal, social, and emotional support in line with individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care assistance (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
2. Support with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment or aids
3. Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements
4. Perform light household duties (e.g., cleaning, laundry, bed-making)
5. Assist with medication reminders as directed by care plans
6. Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation
7. Escort clients to appointments or community activities, as needed
8. Monitor client wellbeing and report changes to the Care Coordinator
9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
10. Adhere to the organisation’s policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct
