Systems Engineer
The successful candidate will have regular contact with business unit staff and all staff within the information technology team, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
What you'll do:
As a Citrix Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing their complex Citrix environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of their systems while providing seamless access for end-users. Your ability to troubleshoot effectively will be crucial in maintaining system integrity.Additionally, the role will involve packaging and deploying business applications to their XenDesktop environment. Monitoring system performance, creating comprehensive documentation, providing technical support, and identifying optimisation opportunities will also form part the day-to-day responsibilities.
- Oversee the Core Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, Citrix Policies, Citrix Store Front/ Client Plugins/ Receiver that make up the Citrix environment.
- Ensure the Citrix environment is secure and accessible without compromising security.
- Troubleshoot to determine root causes of issues and resolve them quickly.
- Package and deploy business applications to the Citrix XenDesktop environment.
- Monitor Citrix environments to identify potential issues and proactively resolve them.
- Create and maintain documentation related to the Citrix environments.
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist them with Citrix-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to optimise Citrix environments and implement solutions.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will bring a wealth of experience in Citrix operational support, backed by relevant qualifications and certifications. You will have a deep understanding of Citrix technologies, including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud.Your experience with Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management will be crucial to success in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of VMware vCenter Virtualisation and application layering and packaging will be highly valued.

- Tertiary qualification in IT or relevant work experience along with Citrix certifications.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role in Citrix operational support.
- Knowledge in Citrix technologies including NetScaler, XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud.
- Experience in Active Directory, OS technologies, and Group Policy Management.
- Knowledgeable in VMware vCenter Virtualisation and Application layering and application packaging.
- Experience in managing and working in a virtualised environment.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills along with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
- Experience working in a broad technical environment.
