Multiple Chef Roles - Mayfield Garden Cafe

One of the most important components of the successful Mayfield Garden business is its highly renowned garden café. We are seeking to hire at least a 2 Chef’s to work with and play a key roles within our established Kitchen team. The Mayfield café is open every day, serving breakfast (from 9.00am) and lunch.

• Experience in a fast-paced, busy kitchen, including taking the lead and training junior staff
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Work efficiently, to ensure food comes out in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Ensure all equipment in the kitchen is properly maintained and meets regulatory standards.

• Formal hospitality qualifications preferred
• Minimum 2-5+ years’ experience in a similar role or demonstrate ability and experience to move into a more senior role.
• An understanding of the preparation, delivery and services associated with high standards of cuisine.
• Experience in a small, upmarket resort or similar format and venue to Mayfield would be an advantage but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of the highest standards of hygiene practices as laid down by health and safety regulations.

• Mayfield is offering above Award payment. Salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per annum.
