Management Accountant / NFP
The Company
Our client is a prominent Not for profit in the Melbourne landscape. We are currently seeking a skilled and detailed orientated Management Accountant to join our client on a 4-month contract with the potential of going permanent for the right candidate.Answering to the CFO, the role requires the ability and proven experience in statutory reporting, Government grants, month end and bank reconciliations. The role will also include true management accountant tasks such as budgeting & forecasting.
The Role
As the Management Accountant you will be reporting directly to the CFO, your duties will include but not limited to the below;- Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting and Statutory reporting.
- Bank reconciliations, grant acquittals, monthly Journals, reporting packs.
- Taking ownership of month end closing.
- Assisting with upcoming audit.
- Assisting with Budgeting/ Forecasting including cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
- Management reporting.
Requirements:
- Ability to start this role immediately.
- CA/ CPA or Part Qualification is required.
- 4-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to complete Statutory Reports.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Adaptive Planning desirable.
- Not for profit/ Government Organisation experience preferred
