This full time Security Analyst role supports Perfekt’s managed services customers ensuring the overall security of customers’ systems, network and data.

About the role

The successful candidate will be required to:

1. Provide end to end support for Perfekt’s managed security services delivery function.
2. Daily, weekly and monthly routines to be followed for all security checks of customers under management.
3. Incident and Problem management using Perfekt’s ticketing system.
4. Liaise with security systems and hardware vendors where required for problem resolution and drive these to conclusion.
5. Monitor security events, logs, and alerts to identify potential security incidents. Analyse and investigate security events to determine their nature, severity, and potential impact. Document procedures where required.
6. Act as the first point of contact for security incidents, providing initial triage, containment, and remediation support. Document and escalate incidents following established procedures.
7. Assist in vulnerability scanning and assessments of systems and networks. Help identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations and assistance for remediation.
8. Utilise various security tools and technologies to monitor and analyse security events, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
9. Support security awareness initiatives by promoting best practices, delivering training sessions, and assisting in the development of security awareness materials.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and compliance, to ensure the timely resolution of security issues. Communicate security incidents, trends, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security incidents, investigations, and procedures. Contribute to the development and improvement of security-related documentation and standard operating procedures.
12. Cyber Security support for Perfekt internal systems and personnel when required.
13. Self-educate in your free time, staying up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Seek opportunities for professional growth and pursue relevant certifications.
14. Attend training and complete all product/vendor certifications as requested by your manager.

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Experience or Certifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
