Cook: Minimum 2 years commercial cookery experienceCook (Demi): 2-3 Year commercial cookery experience + relevant supervisory experience
Chef: + Minimum 1-2 years supervisor experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above is desirableEnglish Language Ability, suitable test where required for sponsorship
The role;
Chef position will assist the head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, budgeting, cost control, stock take, rostering and reporting
Chef position will provide supervision of the kitchen operations and staff
Chef position will assist head chef in menu design
Preparing and cooking food to a benchmark standard for the restaurant; Ensuring that the meals are prepared, produced, presented and served to the highest possible standards; Working in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations; Ordering stock under the direction of the Chef; Checking deliveries as per order sheets; In collaboration with the head Chef and other kitchen staff contribute to the planning and development of recommendations for improved work procedures; Handle complaints and customer suggestions in a professional manner; Upholding and maintain correct standards of hygiene and safety; Undertake as required, training which may be deemed necessary; Communicate effectively with the kitchen crew and other members of staff; Any additional duties associated with the kitchen or food production as directed by the Chef or management.
Annual Remuneration, dependent on skills and experience:
Chef: $73,000 - $75,000Cook (Demi): $70,000 - $74,000
Cook: $64,000 - $69,000
