The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the Commercial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the business with detailed analysis and insights that drive commercial decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing strategic support to ensure the financial success of the company's operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial and commercial analysis to support key business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide insights into sales performance, profitability, and market trends to guide business strategies.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop pricing strategies, forecasts, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for senior management to monitor key performance metrics.
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager in preparing business cases for new product launches and other commercial initiatives.
- Analyse customer and product profitability, identifying opportunities for cost savings and margin improvements.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required to support the broader commercial team.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring financial data accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a commercial or finance analyst role, preferably in the healthcare or medical devices sector.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
