Accountant

Annual Salary: $70,000- $80,000

We are currently seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Finance team on a full-time basis (38 hours/week).

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is integral to the accurate processing of financial reconciliations, travel agent commission management, and month-end accounting. The successful candidate will also assist with external audits and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards across multiple business functions.

Job Responsibilities: Core Accounting

• Perform accurate and timely general ledger reconciliations including AR/AP, bank, accruals, fixed assets, and prepayments.
• Process accounting adjustments in accordance with corporate policy.
• Investigate and resolve internal and external financial queries.
• Actively contribute to finance meetings and initiatives to improve processes and team performance.

• Serve as the primary contact for travel agent commission inquiries.
• Conduct commission reconciliations and coordinate with accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain clear communication with travel agents and internal departments.

• Support the preparation and management of external financial audits.
• Ensure reporting compliance with accounting standards and corporate governance frameworks.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and best practice financial reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong time management and problem-solving mindset.

• Experience working in franchising or the hospitality sector.
• Familiarity with accounting software and corporate audit processes.
