The AWS GCNA (Global Connectivity and Network Availability) Organization is looking for a Senior Network Development Engineer to join as a member of our AWS global Internet capacity team. You will play a key role to enable an Internet connectivity experience that sets the global standard for AWS network performance, availability, security and cost for our customers.
Key job responsibilities- Leading the planning of Internet (transit and peering) capacity designs to meet the demand of our customers.
- Building and continuously scale global Internet capacity to always be ahead of customer demand.
- Leading network and process innovation, delivering simple, sustainable and scalable solutions that never constrain the business for Internet capacity deployment operations.
- Drive operational excellence projects focused on developing best practices and mechanisms, refining existing procedures, leading automation projects and metrics to automate repeatable networking tasks.
- Identify through metrics and troubleshoot complex or recurring configuration/deployment issues and effectively engage with internal partner networking teams teams to ensure full resolution
- Develop safe delivery through change control, CI/CD pipeline and automated network validation mechanisms.

- 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
- 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience- 4+ years experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network and/or networking systems
