Consultant Psychiatrist | Inpatient Unit | Weekend Coverage

A health service on the NSW/VIC border is seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to provide weekend locum coverage for an adult inpatient mental health unit throughout 2026.

This role involves onsite clinical coverage during the day with on call support outside of those hours, within a well supported multidisciplinary inpatient environment.

Department: Mental Health – Adult Inpatient Unit
Setting: 24 bed locked inpatient unit with 3 Intensive Care Area (ICA) beds
Support: Registrar support 0830 – 1230 on Saturday and Sunday
Payment: $2,500 per day
Accommodation: Provided

Travel: Car hire available (approval required) or reimbursement for own vehicle at ATO rates

Shift Structure
Onsite: 0830 – 1400 daily
On call: Phone support after 1400

Weekend block: 0830 Saturday – 0830 Monday

Available Weekend Blocks: $2500 per day - 23/05/2026 - 25/05/2026

$2500 per day - 08/08/2026 - 10/08/2026
$2500 per day - 03/10/2026 - 05/10/2026
$2500 per day - 17/10/2026 - 19/10/2026
$2500 per day - 07/11/2026 - 09/11/2026
$2500 per day - 14/11/2026 - 16/11/2026
$2500 per day - 12/12/2026 - 14/12/2026

$2500 per day - 19/12/2026 - 21/12/2026
