Production Supervisor - Engineering Professional - Labour Support Group
The Client
Mack Valves Pty Ltd has been making valves for many decades and has supplied flow control devices to many of Australia's critical industrial and infrastructure applications. They seek a Production Supervisor- Engineering Professional to join their team in Bayswater, VIC.
The Role
This is for a full time position at an annual salary at $90,000 plus superannuation. The role is based in in Bayswater, VIC.
The Responsibilities
Ensure all engineering production processes adhere to quality management standards and comply with industry regulations
Minimize material wastage in engineering projects by optimizing design and manufacturing processes
Accurately record and maintain engineering production data, including technical specifications and project documentation
Plan and coordinate engineering production schedules to meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of components and systems
Enforce safety procedures in engineering operations to achieve zero harm in construction, manufacturing, and installation activities
Ensure all engineering equipment, components, and materials are correctly sourced, booked, and dispatched as per project requirements
Conduct and oversee training for engineers and technicians, ensuring skill development in design, manufacturing, and maintenance processes
Maintain and update the competency matrix to track engineering staff skills in areas such as process design, drafting, and system maintenance
Prepare and submit technical reports aligned with engineering project requirements and management reporting standards
Optimize production workflows to ensure efficient use of labour, machinery, and resources in engineering operations
Demonstrate reliability by consistently fulfilling engineering project commitments and taking ownership of tasks
Align engineering production efforts with project and business goals to drive efficiency and innovation
Ensure adherence to engineering design specifications, construction methods, and project execution plans
Monitor and coordinate the supply of engineering materials and components to avoid project delays and resolve supply chain issues
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing, installation, and maintenance in engineering production
The requirements
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar field
At least 2 years proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
