As a Support Worker at 313 National Disability Intensive Services, you will play a pivotal role in helping our participants attain their objectives as outlined in their NDIS plans. Your role encompasses:

Independent support, a client-centric approach and meticulous documentation.

A Day in the Life of a support worker:

Working as a Support Worker at 313 National Disability Intensive Services offers a dynamic and rewarding experience. Within our Home Service, you'll assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their highest level of independence. Each day brings a fresh array of responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting individuals in accomplishing their NDIS objectives by honing essential life skills such as household management, personal care, social adeptness, and financial literacy.
  • Offering support with personal care, tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
  • Encouraging meal planning, culinary activities, light household upkeep, and fostering
community ties through social interactions and outings.
  • Providing assistance during daily routines, be it a leisurely stroll, a trip to the cinema, or
accompanying individuals to appointments.
  • Nurturing enduring connections between our participants and their families, friends, and vital service providers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Availability: Demonstrated flexibility with a wide-ranging schedule.
  • Experience: Previous involvement in a person-centered environment, along with prior
experience as a disability support worker. Experience working with participants facing challenges such as mental health issues, or physical health limitations.
  • Interpersonal Skills:The ability to forge meaningful connections and empathize with others.
  • Responsibilities: A willingness to undertake light housekeeping duties, provide personal care assistance, and facilitate social inclusion.
  • Certifications:The capability to secure NDIS worker screening, a current Police

check, an unrestricted driver's license, comprehensive auto insurance, and valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
